A Norwegian invention, patented by master carpenter ThorBjørklund from Lillehammer in 1925 and put into production in1927. Bjørklund had been annoyed at how difficult it waswas to cut nicely from the cheese when using a knife, he sawinvented the planer based on an ordinary carpenter's planer.
